ADMINISTRATION OF A SIMPLE ESTATE WHERE A GRANT OF PROBATE IS REQUIRED
If you have a simple estate that needs to be administered, we can provide the following services:
* Identify who are the legally appointed executors and beneficiaries
* Obtain the relevant documents, HMRC forms and complete the application
* Draft the Statement of Truth for the Executors to sign
* Make the application to the Probate Court on your behalf
* Obtain the Grant of Probate and send it to you, with multiple copies if required
* Settle any debts of the estate, ensure any tax liabilities are dealt with and collect in any remaining assets
* Deal with the estate accounts and finalise the estate
* Make distributions to the beneficiaries in accordance with the Will
Approximate costs £1,500 + VAT (TOTAL = £1,800) to £2,500 + VAT (TOTAL = £3,000) plus disbursements, which is calculated on an hourly basis.
Here are our hourly rates:
Rachel Brinkley - £205 p/hr + VAT (TOTAL = £246)
Keith Holland - £225 p/hr + VAT (TOTAL = £270)
Vicky Hosking - £245 p/hr + VAT (TOTAL = £294)
One-off Secure Storage fee - £25 + VAT (TOTAL = £30)
ADMINISTRATION OF A COMPLEX ESTATE
You may wish for us to obtain a Grant and administer the estate to completion when the estate is more complex. Examples may be where there is no Will, Executors listed in a Will are unable or unwilling to act or there are numerous assets and liabilities, such as property, shareholdings and trusts.
Once we have a full understanding of the nature of the estate, we will be able to give you a comprehensive estimate of how much the cost will be, before we start any work for you. This will be based on our hourly rates above.
For the the vast majority of estates, the fees will fall within the range of 1% - 3% of the gross value of the estate. |
