Kelly joined Smith & Co Solicitors in 2013. She grew up in Ipswich, attending Northgate High School before studying education at Kingston University in Surrey.

Her early career began in the leisure industry which gave her extensive experience of managing facilities and staff dedicated to providing health and fitness services. During this time, Kelly contributed articles to fitness magazines, presented at professional conferences and won a national small business award.

Initially responsible for developing the Smith & Co website, the value of Kelly’s business experience led to her becoming involved in reviewing and streamlining processes within the firm, marketing, implementing compliance procedures and training.

As Business Development Manager, her role includes identifying and pursuing opportunities to grow the firm and enhance its presence and reputation in Ipswich.

With a dedication to ensuring the best client experience, Kelly believes that Smith & Co’s greatest asset is the team of people who work together to make it a unique legal experience. She is committed to the development and well-being of the staff and is the supervisor for the five Solicitor Apprentices who are on their journey to become qualified legal professionals.  

In her spare time, Kelly’s greatest joys have come from being part of a large family and being a mum to three daughters as well as two stepsons. She’s proud to be one of the founders of the Montessori School of Franklin in 2001 during a secondment to Nashville, Tennessee, and the Memory Lane Dementia Café charity in Ipswich in 2017.
