Jake joined Smith & Co Solicitors in August 2025, as a paralegal supporting the Residential Conveyancing team. Jake completed a Law degree at the University of Northampton and returned to Suffolk to continue his legal career. He has progressed to become a Graduate Solicitor Apprentice, attending weekly training sessions with BPP, a nationally recognised legal education provider.

Jake’s previous experience of residential conveyancing was with a Haverhill & Sudbury based property firm. He also volunteered at the Citizens Advice Bureau in Sudbury which gave him a valuable insight into consumer issues that arise and an understanding of how a law firm can support clients during potentially stressful times.

Having grown up and been educated in in Great Cornard, Jake enjoys living in an area he knows so well. Outside of office hours, he’s a keen golfer and member of the Stoke by Nayland Golf Club. He’s also an Arsenal football fan and a keen Formula 1 spectator, with the Willams team being his favourite, so there’s plenty that keeps him busy at weekends.
