Simon Button joined Smith & Co Solicitors in November 2021. He originally studied a degree in Rural Resource Management at Edinburgh University. He completed the Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, followed by the Legal Practice Certificate in Birmingham.

Simon started his career in a law firm in Stamford in Lincolnshire and has since worked for firms in Colchester, Kings Lyn and Norwich. As a result, he offers a wide range of commercial property experience throughout East Anglia. Simon made the decision to join Smith & Co in Ipswich as he recognised the opportunity to work in a law firm that is run quite differently to other firms, offering a flexible work-life balance through its modern approach to technology and interactive team building.

Simon also welcomed the chance to focus on specific areas of commercial law which he specialises in and includes:

Outside of work hours, Simon enjoys hiking in Scotland, Mallorca, Austria, and the Pyrenees. He also spends his free time sailing and gardening, “mainly cutting things down and burning them.”
